Jordan’s ladies football team have ended the 2018 AFC Asian Cup qualifying tournament with an incredible five wins from five games.
Their final win came against fellow unbeaten Group A side The Philippines, who they beat 5-1 in Tajikistan.
Luna Al Masri opened the scoring for Jordan in the 15th minute, before Maysa Jubarah added two goals in the 29th and 37th minutes.
Luna added her second in the 46th minute, before Stephani Al Nabar scored the fifth in the 67th minute. The Philippines grabbed a consolation goal in extra time.
The ladies finished top of Group A with 15 points following their five wins over Bahrain, Iraq, UAE, Tajikistan and The Philippines.
The team scored 37 goals, while they conceded only three in the five games. Jordan will be hosting the finals from April 7-22 next year and the past two weeks have shown that they are in good shape.
Eight teams will compete in the finals with Japan, China, Australia, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, The Philippines joining the host nation Jordan.
