Hamzeh Qattan has clinched gold at the WTF Presidents Cup taking place in Morocco, beating Ayoub Basel from the host nation 17-9 in the final.
Qattan won his first fight in the 87kg against Ivory Coast’s Issa Bamba 20-18 to qualify to the semifinal where he defeated Gabon's Anthony Obame 15-14.
Meanwhile, Muath Al Qatawneh missed out in the quarterfinal to Tunisia's Hadi Nevati who went on to win gold. Both Majd Asfour and Saleh Al Sharbati missed out in the early rounds.
