FAISALI WIN JORDAN 'CLASSICO'

Faisali beat their Amman rivals Wehdat in a fiercely contested derby in the Manaseer Jordanian Pro League.

Wehdat opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Hassan AbdulFattah followed up from close range, but Faisali levelled on the stroke of half time through a penalty from Polish striker Lucas Simon following a handball.

Following a tight second half, Faisali dug deep for a winner with five minutes to go through a Bilal Quaider header.

The win sees them move top on level points with Al Jazeera who were held to a shock 0-0 draw with Sareeh.

Earlier today, Manshyat Bani Hassan defeated Al Hussein Irbid 2-0 in the match held in Al Mafraq stadium.
