WOMEN WIN ASIAN QUALIFIER

JORDAN beat Bahrain 6-0 in their 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup qualifier.

Jordan are already guaranteed qualification as the host nation of next year's finals, but are taking part in the qualifiers to ensure they are getting some valuable game time.

Played in Tajikistan, the match was one-way with Maysa Jbarah scoring a hat-trick of goals in the 23, 30 and 43rd minutes. Shayinas Jebreen had opened the scoring in the ninth minute while Stephani Al Naber (85) and Lona Al Momani added two late goals.

Jordan are in Group A along with Tajikistan, Iraq, UAE, Philippines and Bahrain.

The 2018 AFC Asian Cup Finals will held in Jordan from April 7-22.
