STRONG TAEKWONDO TEAM NAMED FOR BAKU

WITH the 2020 Olympics now a little over three years away, The Jordan Olympic Committee will have an early chance to check on the form of their big taekwondo hopes at the Islamic Solidarity Games in less than 50 days.
Jordan has named a 15-strong taekwondo team for the multi sport event in Baku from May 12-22, with former world number three Mohammad Abu Libdeh teaming up with Mohammad Al Bakheet to prepare the team.
Abu Libdeh will coach the women's team who will prepare for Baku by competing at the International Kazakhstan championships on their way to Azerbaijan that will held from April 22-24.
Al Bakheet's men's team will compete at the the Ra’ees Cup in Morocco from April 7-9.
Following Baku, the squads will stay together and continue their preparations for the World Taekwondo Championship that will be held in South Korea from June 22-30, when Olympic gold medalist Ahmed Abu Ghaush will join the squad.
The Squad heading to Baku include: Coaches: Mohammad Al Bakheet (men) and Mohammad Abu Libbdeh (Women). Athletes (Men): Mo’tasim Abu Zaid (-54kg), Muath Al Qatawneh (-58kg), Mohammad Asfour (-63kg), Majd Asfour (-68kg), Anas Adarbeh (-74kg) and Hamzeh Qattan (-87kg). Women: Eman Adayleh (-46kg), Bana Daraghmeh (-49kg), Taleen Al Humaidi (-53kg), Juliana Al Sadeq (-57kg), Shahed Al Tourman (-62kg), Rawnd Suhail (-67kg), Tayma’ Habawal (-73kg) and Wa’ed Al Tourman (+73kg).
