JORDAN FINISH WEST ASIAN PARALYMPICS WITH 16 MEDALS

Jordan have finished fifth at the first West Asian Paralympic Games held in Khor Fakkan, UAE after winning 16 medals.
Bilal Sa’adeh led the way with three golds in the 100, 200, and 400m while Nabeel Maqableh clinched the 800m.
Also in athletics, Amer Abdulaziz won gold in the Discus, while Fatin Oliemat won gold in the Table Tennis.
Another five silver medals were won by Wa’ed Al Qaq in shot put and javelin while Ahmad Hindi took silver in the men’s shot put. The Goalball team earned silver after losing the final to Iraq.
Bronze medals were won by Hindi in Discus and Javelin, while Abduljabbar Awdat won bronze in powerlifting (88kg), Mohammad Abu Arrar powerlifting (72kg) and Mustafa Mansour won bronze in the 80kg competition.
Over 600 Paralympic athletes representing 12 countries have taken part in the games.
