STRONG START AT ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan have started strongly on day one of the Asian Squash Teams Championships taking place in Hong Kong.
The team, consisting of Mohammad Al Sarraj, Abdel Kader Jeetan and Abdul Rahman Mohammad, opened their campaign with a 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei.
They followed it up with another 3-0 win over Sri Lanka to take top spot in Group B.
On Thursday, the team meet Malaysia and Hong Kong aiming to secure their place in Saturday’s semi-finals.
There are 12 teams taking part in two groups of six with the top two from each group qualifying.
