CLEAN SWEEP FOR JORDAN AT LUXOR MARATHON

Jordanian runners won all three categories at the 24th Egyptian Marathon which attracted almost 2,000 runners from 36 countries.
The Jordan team consisted of runners from the Gendarme with Lieutenant Hayel Al Rawhneh winning the 42km event in a time of two hours 42 minutes and 27 seconds. He was followed by teammate Mohammad Fayez in 2:53.48 with Egypt’s Kamer Elyamanie in third.
In the half marathon (22km), Jordan completed another 1-2 with Gendarme Rafat Al Zoboon taking first in a time of 1:16.00 from teammate Awni Al Rajabi in second (1:26.12). Third went to Egypt’s Osama Sayed.
Completing a hat-trick for Jordan, Gendarme Abdullah Al Mshaqef won 12km race in a time of 41:02 minutes followed by Egypt’s Krosle Shehata.
