CAN AL MISFER RESURRECT MISFIRING JORDAN

Jordan have chosen Emirati Abduallah Al Misfer as the man they hope will bring form back to he national football team.

Following a poor run of results throughout 2016, Al Misfer has been appointed to guide the team through the next round of qualifiers for the 2019 Asian Championships which start in the New year.

The 53-year-old has a doctorate, and brings an impressive track record of football management from his native UAE where he coached the national team, Olympic team as well as the youth and juniors national set-ups.

He is expected to name his back room staff this week.
