BASKETBALL LEAGUE LAUNCHES TODAY

The Jordan Basketball Premier League starts today (Wednesday) with champions Al Riyadi meeting league newcomers Anjarah at the Prince Hamzeh Hall at 5pm.
The league this season will comprise of eight teams including Anjarah, Orthodox Club, Hurryah, Awdah, Jalil, Kofor Yoba and Der Abi Saeed.
On Sunday, two matches will be held in Al Hassan Hall in Irbid. The first sees Kofor Yoba meet Awdah, followed by The Orthodox Club taking on Der Abi Saeed. Game One’s final match sees Jalil playing Al Hurryah on Monday in the same hall.
The league will take a break on January 11 for the national team to compete in the West Asian Championships, which will be held in Amman until January 29.
