JORDAN HOSTS ASIAN CLUBS HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

 Jordan’s new handball arena will host the 19th Asian Clubs Handball Championships over the coming week with Al Ahli hoping home advantage will pay off.

The Jordanian champions host Qatar’s Al Jaish today (Saturday) expecting a tough match against a team full of world class international talent.

There will also be opening day matches featuring Iran’s Al Nift against the UAE’s Al Jazeera and Bahrain’s Al Ahli against Saudi Arabia’s Al Noor.

Lekhweya from Qatar will meet Al Ahli Sadab from Oman in the eight team tournament. On Sunday, there will be four matches: Al Jaish meet Al Nift (1pm); Al Ahli Sadab take on Al Ahli (3pm); our own Al Ahli meet Al Jazeera (5pm) and Al Noor face Lekhweya at 7pm.
