NAJJAR, SAMI BEGIN WORLD KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS CAMPAIGNS

Bashar Al Najjar and Mohammad Sami launch their campaigns at the WKF World Karate Championships today in Austria.
Al Najjar is in action at 1pm in the 67kg weight while Sami faces the Dominican Republic's Moreni Martinez at 2.30pm in the 60kg category.
They will be hoping for wins following a disappointing opening day for Jordan when Mahmoud Al Sajjan and Hatem Dweik lost their matches.
Al Sajjan lost to Slovenia's Markas Jus 0-1 in the 84kg category, and Dweik lost with Montenegro's Brasanac Nemanja 1-3 in the 75kg weight.
