HISTORY MADE FOR JORDAN CHESS

Chess player Sami Al Safarini has made history by becoming the first Jordanian to win a medal at the Chess Olympics, held in Azerbaijan.

Al Safarini, who has an International Master IM degree in Chess. The event welcomed 840 players from 170 countries.

He was the only Arab to medal at the tournament.
