Jordan has secured its second medal of the Paralympic Games after Tharwah Al Hajaj won a Powerlifting silver. The 43-year-old lifted 119kg in the women’s 86kg category to take silver behind Egypt’s Randa Mahmoud who lifted 130kg for gold. Bronze went to Mexico’s Catalina Diaz Vichiz who managed 117kg. The medal follows a similar colour won by Omar Qarada earlier this week in the men’s 49kg contest.
