MEDALS FOR CHESS IN ABU DHABI FESTIVAL

Jordan won medals at the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival.
Aseel Odeh, Sameer Mansour and his son Lo'ai won a gold medal in (Family Chess); Tha'er Abu Al Haija won silver in the U12, and Yazan Al Bashayreh and Lo'ai Sameer won bronze in the U16 category.
The tournament welcomed 128 athletes for the Youth Championship and 203 athletes in the Open Championship. Countries represented included: Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Canada, Bahrain, India, Qatar, Egypt, Syria, Russia, Philippine, Lebanon, Moldavia, Australia, Estonia, Spain, Sudan, Romania, China, Turkey, Holland, Sri Lanka, Algeria, Pakistan, Oman, and UAE as well as Jordan.
