HRH Prince Feisal Welcomes Delegation of the Hope and Dreams Festival

Amman, Jordan: HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee and Member of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee, today welcomed the delegation of the Hope and Dreams Festival to Jordan.
The delegation was led by Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of World Taekwondo, and included Leónz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation, and Dale McMann, President of the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
Prince Feisal expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s visit and commended the festival’s mission of promoting the transformative power of sport in the lives of young people living in refugee camps.
His Royal Highness also highlighted the vital role played by the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation in using sport as a tool for community development and a source of hope for refugees, praising its initiatives aimed at empowering youth within the camps.
The third edition of the Hope and Dreams Festival will be held in Jordan from April 30 to May 3.
This year’s festival is expected to be the largest to date, offering young athletes from refugee camps the opportunity to compete across six different sports.
Speaking during the visit, Dr. Choue emphasized the significant progress the festival has achieved year after year:
He said: “The Hope and Dreams Festival has become a cornerstone event for World Taekwondo and the Taekwondo Humanitarian Foundation. We are proud to see it grow into a multi-sport platform that continues to inspire refugees and young people around the world.”
This year’s edition will feature the introduction of Handball, joining the sports included in last year’s programme: Taekwondo, Basketball, Baseball, Badminton, and 3x3 Basketball.
