HRH PRINCE FEISAL RE-ELECTED AS JOC PRESIDENT

The General Assembly of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has re-elected His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Al Hussein as JOC President following the Executive Board elections held today, Monday, at Al Hussein Youth City.
The General Assembly reaffirmed its confidence in HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein who is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Elected by acclamation to the JOC Executive Board for the distinguished members’ category were His Excellency the Minister of Youth, Mr. Yazan Al-Shdeifat, Her Excellency Mrs. Suhair Al-Ali, Mr. Jihad Al-Qutishat and Mr. Mohammad Alayyan.
For the Olympic athletes’ category, the recently retired taekwondo star Juliana Al-Sadeq and boxer Uday Al-Hindawi secured their positions.
Ten members representing the Olympic Federations were elected:
The Royal Jordanian Equestrian Federation, represented by HRH Princess Alia bint Al Hussein.
The Jordan Volleyball Federation, represented by HRH Princess Ayah bint Feisal.
The Jordan Boxing Federation, represented by HRH Prince Nayef bin Asem bin Nayef Al Hashem.
The Jordan Wrestling Federation, represented by Mr. Mohammad Al-Awamleh.
The Jordan Basketball Federation, represented by Mrs. Zein Malhas.
The Jordan Gymnastics Federation, represented by Mr. Saleh Al-Ghuwairi.
The Jordan Cycling Federation, represented by Dr. Tareq Al-Khayyat.
The Jordan Tennis Federation, represented by Mr. Khaled Naffa.
The Jordan Handball Federation, represented by Dr. Taysir Al-Mansi.
The Jordan Football Association, represented by Mr. Loay Omeish.
Additionally, elected by acclamation in the category of IOC-recognised federations were the Jordan Chess Federation, represented by Mr. Zaid Al-Saaydeh, and the Jordan Karate Federation, represented by Mrs. Al-Batoul Al-Nasser.
