JOC Secretary General highlights importance of sports sector in Senate meeting

Rana Al-Saeed, Secretary-General of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC), has emphasised the crucial role of the sports sector in supporting other sectors, underscoring the need to promote the concept of community sports due to its positive impact on Jordanian society as a whole.

Her comments came during a meeting of the Financial and Economic Committee in the Senate, chaired by Dr. Rajai Muasher, to review the strategy and projects of the Ministry of Youth.

Al-Saeed highlighted the importance of the partnership with the Ministry of Youth in supporting the JOC’s efforts to advance sports in Jordan. She also praised the Financial and Economic Committee’s dedication to enhancing the committee’s work at both the professional and community levels.

Al-Saeed presented the outcomes of the JOC’s work in 2024, as well as the key future programmes and projects aimed at developing the sports ecosystem to make sport and healthy living an integral part of every citizen’s life.
