The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) has selected Jordan to host the Asian U18 Women’s Volleyball Championship, scheduled to take place from July 20-27, 2025.
The bid submitted by the Jordan Volleyball Federation received the approval and support of the AVC, showcasing Jordan’s readiness to host this major event and its ability to deliver all championship matches in a positive and exemplary manner.
Jihad Qutaishat, Vice President of the Jordan Volleyball Federation, said: “Under the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Ayah Bint Faisal, President of the Federation, we submitted our bid to host this championship for several reasons. These include the Federation’s commitment to full participation in international, Asian, Arab, and West Asian tournaments.
“And this aligns with our programmes aimed at developing the sport, particularly by focusing on youth national teams as the foundation for building and advancing the game.”
A committee from the AVC recently visited Jordan to inspect the facilities, venues, and hotels prepared to host the championship.
The committee expressed its full satisfaction with Jordan’s readiness to organise the tournament, which will be one of the most prominent volleyball events to have ever been held in the country.
