It was held as an important part of the Jordan Olympic Committee’s strategy to support and assist Jordanian athletes throughout their sports careers, and beyond.
The forum included three sessions: The Road to the Olympic Games, Dealing with Bullying and Abuse, and Artificial Intelligence and Its Impact on Athletic Performance.
It was held in an open and friendly environment to encourage engagement from attendees, with many athletes raising diverse questions about their careers and the challenges they have faced.
Open discussions were held, allowing athletes to address important issues such as managing psychological pressures during competitions and leveraging modern technologies like artificial intelligence.
Rana Al-Saeed, Secretary General of the Jordan Olympic Committee, emphasised the forum’s importance, stating: “This forum serves as a crucial platform to clarify the Jordan Olympic Committee’s vision of supporting athletes throughout their journeys, from preparation to qualification for major global events such as the Olympic Games.
“We aim to build bridges of communication between the committee and athletes, offering them technical and moral support and providing them with the necessary information to achieve the best results.
“The 2024 Jordanian Athletes Forum is a significant step toward enhancing athletes’ awareness of future challenges. It provides them with an opportunity to interact directly with experts and specialists, contributing to the development of a more supportive and professional sports environment in line with the committee’s strategy.”
