Footballers suffer World Cup blow

Jordan have suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to South Korea at the Amman International Stadium, as part of the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
South Korea’s goals came in the 38th and 68th minutes through Lee Jae-sung and Oh Hyeon-gu.
With this defeat, Jordan remain on four points following a draw with Kuwait and a win over Palestine. South Korea now leads Group B with 7 points.
Next up is Oman on Tuesday at the Amman International Stadium.
