Esports Championship kicks off under HRH Prince Omar patronage

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Omar bin Faisal, President of the Jordanian Esports Federation, the 5th West Asian Esports Football Championship was officially opened today (Friday) at the Esports Training Centre and Academy in King Hussein Business Park in Amman, Jordan.
The championship will take place over Friday and Saturday, featuring seven men's teams and four women's teams.
The national team is represented by Saif Dababneh in the men’s category, and Noor Al-Khatib in the women’s.
The men's national team is placed in Group B alongside Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. In the women’s category, the teams are placed in a single group, with Jordan competing against Bahrain, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
This edition of the championship, organised by the West Asian Football Federation in collaboration with the Jordanian Esports Federation, marks the first time that women have participated alongside men, aiming to expand the player base across both genders.
