Jordan qualify for U18 Basketball World Cup

Jordan have booked their spot for the FIBA U18 Basketball World Cup taking place in Switzerland next year after beating South Korea 73-69 on Saturday in the FIBA Asian Cup. The match at Prince Hamza Hall in Al Hussein Youth City was the quarter-final of the competition, confirming a place in the last four for a ticket to the World Cup.
It is only the second time that Jordan have reached the finals, and the first time since 1995.
The team face Australia today for a place in the final.
