Qaradeh Wins Paralympic gold

Powerlifter Omar Qaradeh has won gold for Jordan at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
Qaradeh won the Kingdom’s first medal at the event in the 49kg weight category, lifting an incredible 181kg to secure his second consecutive Paralympic gold having won at the last edition in Tokyo.
He has also won silver medals at the Rio 2016 and Beijing 2008 Games.
He finished ahead of Turkey’s Abdullah Kayapinar (180kg) and Vietnam’s Le Van Cong (171kg).
