Jordan continue World Cup qualifiers with a win

Jordan have beaten Pakistan to continue their 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a 3-0 win in Islamabad.
Moussa Al-Taamari opened the scoring in the second minute, followed by Ali Alaween adding the second goal from a penalty in the ninth.
Al-Taamari scored his second, and Jordan’s third, in the 86th minute to move his side to four points after three games to sit third in Group 7, behind Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan.
The pair will meet at the Amman International Stadium this Tuesday.
A total of 36 teams are participating in the second stage of Asian qualifiers, divided into nine groups with four teams in each group.
The top team and runner-up from each group will advance to the third stage of the World Cup qualifiers, as well as qualify directly for the 2027 Asian Cup, which will feature 18 teams.
