Jordan medals at World Karate League

Mohammed Al-Jaafari has won silver and Abdullah Hamad bronze in the second round of the World Karate League held in Antalya, Turkey.
Al-Jaafari advanced to the final of the under 84kg category after winning four fights before losing the final against Egypt’s Youssef Badawi.
Earlier he beat Italian, Fuori Matteo, 8-0, and then Egyptian fighter, Mohamed Reda, 5-4. Al-Al-Jaafari continued his run in the quarter-final against Azerbaijani, Hasnov Torgut, 6-5, before reaching the final after the withdrawal of Greek fighter Konstantinos in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Hamad won bronze in the 61kg competition, defeating Romania’s Jugolusi Florian, Italy’s Luciano Carmen, Belgium’s Anas Abdel Malek and Japan’s Hashimoto.
He won his quarter-final contest against Greek fighter, Christos Stefanos, before losing to Kuwait’s Abdullah Shaaban in the semi-final to settle for bronze.
