Taekwondo star qualifies for Olympics

Rama Abu Al-Rab has become the latest Jordanian to confirm a place at this summer’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The star became the fourth Jordanian Taekwondo fighter to book their spot at the Asian qualifiers held in Taian, China.
Her pathway started with a win in the quarter-finals of the 67kg category against India’s Maria Margaret.
She then secured another victory in the semi-finals against Lebanon’s Ward Salman, which was enough to book her ticket to Paris.
It will be the first time that Jordan have four Taekwondo fighters at an Olymnpic Games, with Abu Al-Rab joining Juliana Al-Sadeq, Zaid Mustafa, and Saleh Al-Sharbati in Paris this summer.
