Shakrah set for bronze medal showdown

Omar Shakrah will compete for karate bronze tomorrow in the second round of the International K1 series, held in the Cypriot city of Larnaca.
He advanced to the -60kg bronze medal play-off where he will meet Uzbek fighter Ologbek.
Earlier he secured wins over Macau’s Singh, Japan’s Hiroki, Iran’s Aghdasi Khoordeh and then Malaysia’s Prem Kumar.
His run ended with a semi-final defeat to Colombia’s Juan David, dropping into tomorrow’s bronze medal showdown as a result.
