Jordan to meet Qatar in AFC Asian Cup final

Jordan will meet hosts Qatar in the final of the 18th AFC Asian Cup to be held at the Lusail Stadium in Doha (6pm).
It’s been an incredible journey for The Nashama in reaching their first ever final courtesy of a 2-0 win over much-fancied South Korea in the last four. Qatar booked their spot with a 3-2 semi-final win over Iran.
At the pre-match press conference, head coach, Hussein Amotta, said: “We are one step away from achieving the first title in the history of Jordanian football.
“The match will be tough for both teams, but we intend to continue the outstanding levels and performance shown by Al-Nashama throughout the tournament thanks to the collective effort.”
Player Salem Al-Ajaline said: “We feel proud and honoured to rightfully reach the final. We will give our all for the Jordanian fans and lift the Asian Cup.”
