ANOTHER THREE ASIAN BRONZES FOR JORDAN
Apr 20, 2016
Jordan taekwondo is on a roll! Just one day after Anas Al-Sadeq secured bronze at the Asian Taekwondo Championships, another three teammates picked up the same colour medal in the Philippines.
Mutasem Abu Zaid (54kg), Razan Al Saydeh (49kg) and Taleen Al Humaidi (53kg) all reached the semi-final stages in their weights but 2015 Black Iris Young Achiever (female) winner Eman Al Adayleh lost in the first round of the 46kg competition.
Still to come though are Abdullah Al Shouabaki (68kg), Majd Asfour (74kg), Saleh Al Sharabati (80kg) and Shahed Al Turman (62kg).
Over 239 players representing 37 countries across the continent are involved in the event which kicked off with the Olympic qualifiers when Ahmad Abu Ghaush won gold to book his place for Rio de Janeiro.
