Jordan’s medal count rises to 12 at West Asia Para Games

It’s been another successful day at the West Asia Para Games being held in Sharjah, UAE, moving the medal count up to 12.
Nabil Mqablah secured double gold in the 5,000m and 800m races, while Faten Aleemat gold in table tennis, and Abi Asaad won silver in javelin.
Mohammed Jlelat and Mahmoud Al-Hayek earned bronze medals in the 800m and table tennis respectively.
The latest medals are added to Ahmed Al-Hindi’s shot put gold (11.22m) in the F34 category, and Abi Asaad’s shot put gold (10.29m) in the F55 category.
Nabil Mqablah won gold in the 1500m with a time of 4.24 minutes in the T12 category. Mohammed Jlelat claimed silver in the 1500m T13 race with a time of 4.36 minutes, and Anas Ananzeh earned shot put bronze with a throw of 6.27m in the T32 category.
Para-badminton player Musab Al-Tawalbeh won bronze.
Meanwhile, the Goalball team lost to Saudi Arabia 12-10 and will face Qatar on Thursday. If they win, they will play against the winner of the Saudi Arabia vs. Iraq match.
