Jordan’s suffer Bahrain hiccup

Jordan’s final Group D game at the AFC Asian Cup didn’t quit go to plan, but the team is through to the last 16 despite a 1-0 defeat to Bahrain at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha.
Bahrain’s only goal came through Abdullah Yousif in the 34th minute, leaving Jordan qualifying as one of the best third-placed finishers.
Bahrain topped the group with six points, while South Korea secured the second spot with five, and Malaysia finished fourth with three points.
Jordan will face either Qatar or Iraq in the Round of 16, with the opponents to be determined after the conclusion of the matches in Group F later today.
