An added time goal denied Jordan a memorable victory over the superstars of South Korea at the 18th AFC Asian Cup being played in Doha, Jordan.
Following their opening day 4-0 victory over Malaysia, the draw keeps Jordan top of Group E and within touching distance of the knock-out matches with one group match left.
South Korea took an early lead with a 9th minute penalty from Son Heung-Min, but Jordan scored twice through a 37th minute own goal, followed in first half added time by Yazan Al-Nuaimat’s powerful strike.
But as the clock tick towards the final whistle, South Korea levelled through a Jordanian own goal, keeping them top of the group on goal difference ahead of the final game against Bahrain on Friday at the Khalifa International Stadium, when a draw will be enough to guarantee progress.
