Silver, bronze medals at Chess Championship

The national chess team secured a silver and a bronze medal at the Rilton Cup Championship, part of the global chess festival that recently concluded in the Swedish capital, Stockholm.
Azzaldin Almuathqabat finished second, earning the silver medal in the Rilton 1800 Classic Chess Championship, and his international chess rating increased by 35 points.
Teammate Saif Malik was third in the Rilton Elo Championship.
National team players also participated in various rapid and blitz chess tournaments during the global festival, successfully enhancing their international ratings.
Malik’s rapid chess rating increased by 27 international points, Ali Alqaisi’s rating increased by 49 points, and Almuathqabat's rating increased by 86 points.
In rapid chess, Luay Sameer gained five international points, Alqaisi gained 22 points, and Almuathqabat gained 51 points.
The national team delegation was led by Captain Ahmed Sa'ada, the team's coach and delegation head.
