The Jordan Olympic Committee has commended the University of Jordan's Board of Deans for reducing fees for athletes who achieve success in international, regional, and Arab championships.
The reduction is based on criteria presented by the College of Sports Sciences at the university, considering factors such as the size of the championship or sports event, the number of participants, and the level of competition.
This step aligns with the University of Jordan’s commitment to supporting the Jordanian sports sector and encouraging athletes to achieve excellence.
It is also consistent with the strategy of the JOC and demonstrates its ongoing dedication to providing educational support for the champions of Jordanian sports.
The University of Jordan’s role in supporting Jordanian athletes under the guidance of its President, Prof. Dr. Nizir Obeidat, has been soundly praised by the JOC who hope that other universities will follow suit.
Rana Al-Saied, the JOC Secretary General highlighted the significant role that the university has played in supporting Jordanian athletes and praised its continuous efforts to grant scholarships to athletes as a recognition of their sporting excellence and achievements.
Meanwhile, the JOC approved a cooperation agreement with the College of Sports Sciences at the University of Jordan to implement a high-level professional diploma programme in fitness training.
