PRO LEAGUE TAKES DRAMATIC TWIST
Apr 18, 2016
With the penultimate weekend of the Al Manaseer Jordanian Pro League approaching, there has been a dramatic twist at the top.
When Faisali were held 1-1 by Kofor Soum on Saturday, it seemingly handed the title on a plate to Wehdat who were in action the following day. But the champions were beaten 3-1 by That Ras to see their lead at the top cut to two points with two matches remaining.
Al Ahli’s hopes were dashed too when they were beaten 2-0 by Ramtha, but they remain in third, five points off the top.
Shabab Al Ordon are fourth after beating Al Hussein Irbid 1-0, while Al Jazeera remain fifth following a 0-0 draw with Al Sareeh who are fighting relegation along with Al Baqa' who beat relegated Al Asalah 2-1.
