A rising star has emerged onto the Jordanian boxing radar after Akram Ziyadeh ensured a medal at the Junior World Boxing Championships in the Armenian capital, Yerevan.
Ziyadeh secured a spot in the semi-finals after winning his -60kg quarter-final bout against the Kazakhstani fighter Berdali Jassoulan.
This third victory of the tournament ensures a medal for Jordan for reaching the last four where he will fight the host nation’s Martirosyan Andranik on Friday.
