Al-Sadiq named Best Arab Sportswoman

Jordanian Taekwondo star, Juliana Al-Sadiq, has won the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women's Sports Award.
This award celebrates women’s achievements in sports in the Arab World, and Al-Sadiq was crowned as the Best Arab Sportswoman during the ceremony held at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The 29-year-old has been in outstanding form this year with a number of Arab, Asian and World successes that have seen her win six medals at major championships.
She won the silver medal at the World Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan, and claimed the Grand Prix bronze in China. Additionally, she earned gold at the Arab Championships in Fujairah and is ranked second in the world for the -67 kg weight category.
Al-Sadiq is now close to confirming her place at the Paris Olympic Games next year.
At the previous edition of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Women's Sports Awards, the coach of the Jordanian Taekwondo national team, Fares Al-Assaf, won the Best Coach award, and the Jordan Football Association won the Best Development Programme for Girls award.
