Congratulations to our Karate history-makers!

Jordan have won an historic gold medal at the Karate World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
It marks a first gold for the Kingdom at the tournament which dates back to 1970, with the team of Mohammad Al-Jaafar, Afif Ghaith, Hassan Msarweh, Ahmed Shadid, Abdullah Hamad and Youssef Nawfal in stunning form throughout.
Their golden triumph came after a hard-fought final against the Egyptian team, and the victory follows on from Al-Jaafar’s bronze the previous day, which was Jordan’s first ever medal at the event which dates back to 1970.
Coached by Mohammad Ibrahim and Mohammad Fataian, Jordan stormed through to the final with 3-0 victories over Kosovo, Italy, Slovakia and Azerbaijan, before their final victory over Egypt to cap a memorable tournament for the Kingdom.
