Karate team set for World final

Jordan’s men’s team are into the final of the Karate World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
It guarantees Jordan’s first ever medal at the senior championships, and they will be hoping for gold when they take on Egypt in an all-Arab showdown, on Sunday.
Jordan advanced to the gold medal match with wins over Kosovo (3-0), Italy (3-0) and Slovakia (3-0) in the quarter-finals before securing their fourth win, beating Azerbaijan 3-0, to reach the final.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Al-Ja'fari and Afeef Ghaith, also have the chance of medals, playing in the bronze medal matches for their respective weights on Saturday.
