Al-Hajjaj wins another Jordan medal

Veteran paralifter Tharwat Al-Hajjaj has won a remarkable third career medal at the Asian Para Games after lifting silver in the fourth edition in Hangzhou, China, which concludes tomorrow.
She finished secong in the women’s 86kg para powerlifting category by lifting 122 kg, finishing behind China’s Zi Hang, who lifted 150kg, while South Korean athlete Yang Ji-Yoon was third with a lift of 121kg.
This marks Al-Hajjaj's third medal in the history of the Asian Para Games, having won silver in Incheon, South Korea, in 2014 and bronze in the first edition held in Hangzhou, China, in 2010.
With Al-Hajjaj's silver medal, the Jordanian delegation raised its medal count in the current edition to five medals, made up of three gold and two silver.
