Silver lining for Asmaa at Asian Games

Powerlifter Asmaa Isa has added a silver medal to Jordan’s haul at the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China.
Isa finished second in the women’s 79kg category with a lift of 124kg, with the gold going to home lifter Han Meiyan, with a mighty 148kg lifted. Indonesia’s Siti Mahmud claimed the bronze with a lift of 113kg.
Isa’s medal is Jordan’s third of the Para Games, following a pair of gold medals won by Omar Qarada in para powerlifting (49kg) and Nabeel Maqableh in para athletics (1500m T13).
