Abu Jame' gives Jordan winning start at Para Games

Osama Abu Jame' has given Jordan the best possible start at the 4th Asian Para Games, hosted by Hangzhou, China.
The table tennis star beat Syria’s Jabr Hindi 11-3, 11-7, and 11-4 in group 5 which also includes South Korea’s Baek Young Bok and Pakistan’s Altif Rahman who he will meet tomorrow.
Sixteen players have been split into five groups with the winners and runners-up from each qualifying for the knockouts.
Faten Alimatat will commence her participation for Jordan tomorrow against Thailand’s Jaion Vijitra in group three for the women’s.
Jordan has previously won five medals at the Games, including two silver and three bronze. Abu Jame' secured a silver medal in Incheon in 2014, while Khitam Abu Awad won a silver medal at Jakarta in 2018.
The three bronze medals, in 2014, were won by Maha Al-Barghothi, Abu Awad and the women's team composed of Abu Awad, Fatma Al-Azam, and Alimatat.
