Jordan launch Asian Para Games with table tennis

Jordan has sent a strong delegation to compete in the 4th Asian Para Games, hosted by Guangzhou, China, from October 22-28.
Prior to the Opening Ceremony, table tennis players Osama Abu Jamaa and Fatimah Aleimat, will play their first singles matches, launching a campaign that will see 16 Jordanians also compete in weightlifting, goalball and athletics.
Weightlifters AbdulKarim Khattab and Tharwat Al-Hajjaj will casrry the flag at the Opening Ceremony while fellow weightlifter, Jameel Shibli, has participated in carrying the Asian Para Games torch.
Jordan has competed in all three previous editions of the Games, successfully securing 17 medals, including five gold, six silver, and six bronze.
At their debut, Jordan won five medals at the 2010 Guangzhou Games, including three gold and two bronze.
In the second edition in Incheon, South Korea, in 2014, Jordan won nine medals - one gold, four silver, and four bronze.
At the last edition in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2018, the Jordanian delegation secured three medals, including one gold and two silver.
