WEIGHTLIFTER IN WITH A SHOUT AT ASIAN GAMES

Weightlifter Asim Al-Salaj has performed admirably in the 109kg weight category at the 19th Asian Games in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
The 19-year-old sits second in Group B after lifting a combined total of 328kg.
In the snatch, Al-Salaj successfully lifted 140kg, and he then managed to lift 188kg in the clean and jerk.
The weightlifting competition for the 109kg category will continue tomorrow, with the remaining players in the first group competing against those in the second group to determine the medal winners.
