Jordan have launched their basketball campaign at the 19th Asian Games with a victory over Thailand in Hangzhou, China.
The team eased to a 97-63 victory following a strong start that saw coach coach Wisam Al-Sous fielding a starting line-up of Ahmad Al-Dweiri, Sami Bzeih, Freddy Ibrahim, Jefferson, and John Bohannon.
They dominated throughout, winning rushing into a 28-10 first quarter advantage and continuing to stay on top.
Next up in Group C will be Bahrain on the 28th, before concluding its group stage matches against the Philippines two days later.
The men’s basketball competition features 16 teams divided into four groups with the winners directly qualifying for the quarter-finals, while the teams finishing second and third will play off for a spot in the last eight.
