JOC AND GREATER AMMAN MUNICIPALITY RENEW PARTNERSHIP

The brilliant partnership that has created the successful Olympic Preparation Centre will continue after an agreement was signed between the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) and the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM).
Rana Al-Saeed, JOC Secretary General, and Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, the Mayor, signed the renewal agreement on Wednesday with the former highlighting its importance in providing world-class support to Jordan’s elite athletes.
She said: “We are pleased to renew our partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality through the Olympic Preparation Centre which has significantly contributed to the development of Jordanian athletes and the provision of the services they need.
“This partnership reflects the role of our national institutions in supporting the sports sector in the Kingdom.”
Dr. Al-Shawarbeh, said that GAM was delighted to be supporting the JOC by providing the building which has become a true centre of excellence since being introduced five years ago.
“We have recently seen how the centre has contributed to the development of Jordanian sport and the positive impact it is having on the athletes by providing an ideal environment to motivate them to achieve success in various sports disciplines.”
