FENCERS SNARE WEST ASIAN GOLD ON HOME SOIL

Jordan have won a pair of gold medals at the West Asia -23 Championship, which was hosted by Jordan Fencing Federation at the Princess Sumaya Hall in Al-Hussein Youth City.
The championship featured 146 players from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, Oman, Yemen, Lebanon and Palestine, in addition to Jordan.
The women's foil team, composed of Rawan Al-Majali, Suwar Al-Na'imat, Lemaar Al-Zumur, and Mira Azizia, succeeded in winning the gold with Oman in second and Bahrain third.
The men's épée team, consisting of Abdullah Al-Nasser, Eyad Aouda, Mohammed Abdullah, and Hassan Abdulhadi, were not to be outdone, also winning gold. Bahrain were second and Oman were place.
