WILL JORDAN KARATE STARS BE CROWNED ‘THE WORLD’S BEST’?

Four Jordanians have made the shortlist of fighters who are in the running to be named ‘The World’s Best’ by The International Karate Federation.
The awards recognise the best fighters who competed in the World Karate League and achieved the best performances throughout the year.
The four Jordanians being considered are Olympic medallist, Abdulrahman Al-Masatfa (-67kg), Abdullah Hamad and Omar Shaqra (both -60kg), and Mohamed Al-Jaafari (-84kg).
Jordan achieved six medals this year in the League, including four gold, at events held in
Egypt, Japan and Morocco.
Al-Jaafari and Al-Masatfa picked up a pair of gold medals each, while Afeef Ghaith won silver and Mohamed Al-Jaafari added a bronze.
The final decision on the ‘World's Best’ awards will be made this weekend during the fourth and final round of the World Karate League, hosted by Dublin, Ireland.
