HRH PRINCE FEISAL HONOURS ARAB GAMES DELEGATION

The Jordanian athletes who flourished at the 15th Arab Games have been honoured by HRH Prince Feisal Al-Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) and a member of the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Jordan returned from Algeria last month with an incredible 64 medals, the most recorded by the Kingdom for an Arab Games held outside of Jordan.
HRH Prince Feisal praised the hard work of the athletes, but was also keen to highlight the efforts of the support behind the scenes provided by the technical staff as well as the national sports federations, who work closely with the JOC to deliver more success time and time again.
Rana Al-Saeed, JOC Secretary General, said that the successes reflect on the continuing progress being made by sport in Jordan.
The 64 medals included 18 gold, 17 silver, and 29 bronze, and the ceremony was also attended by HRH Princess Ayah bint Al Feisal, President of the Jordan Volleyball Federation and a member of the JOC board, as well as HRH Princess Aisha Bint Al Feisal and HRH Princess Sarah bint Al Feisal.
The Minister of Youth, Mohammed Nabulsi, was also in attendance alongside JOC Vice Presidents Dr. Sari Hamdan and Dr. Khaled Atyat.
Jordan took 132 athletes to Algeria to compete across 17 sports that included athletics, badminton, 3x3 basketball, boxing, fencing, weightlifting, judo, karate, wrestling, volleyball, swimming, gymnastics, chess, table tennis, handball, Goalball, and para-athletics.
